This British Acacia Mahogany and Burl Chess Set is simple, elegant and a pleasure to play with. It features truly handsome chess pieces, that have been expertly crafted. The light chess pieces are made from boxwood and the dark from natural acacia wood, better known as rosewood or Sheesham wood.

The chessmen included in this stunning array are felted and weighted for a smooth transition across the battlefield. As you know, good quality, weighted chess pieces are preferred and used by most serious tournament chess players- it's no surprise why. The way these chessmen glide across the surface area of the board is comparable to that of an ice skater gliding across an ice rink...seamless. 

To complement these truly fantastic chess pieces, we have included our eye-catching19" mahogany and sycamore chessboard and beautiful burlwood storage box.
