Returns

How to return an item:

 

Our return policy is valid for 30 days, to quality for a return please adhere to our policy below.

Customers must notify us of intent to cancel and return within 14 days of delivery, failure to do so withing the 14 days will void returns. Goods must be in UNUSED BRAND NEW RETAIL CONDITION 

1. Package your return ensuring that the product is secured safely to avoid any damages in transit. *We do not refund orders that sustain damage due to lack of packaging integrity. The item must be in its original packaging, in a brand-new, unused condition- items that have been used and that are not returned in their original packaging will be refused reimbursements. 

Please insert your order reference number inside of the package in order to enable our returns staff to effectively process your refund.

2. Choose a dedicated shipping company for your trackable return. In order to process your refund, you must email us with a tracking code for the returned parcel at sales@chessmaze.co.uk.


3. Returned goods must be sent insured and tracked to our hub at the below address

Please note that returned goods must be in a brand new, unused condition. The product should still be in its original packaging. 


When returning an item, please include your order reference number inside of the product packaging in order for us to process your return accordingly. 

You must provide us with a tracking code for the returned parcel, failure to do so will result in delayed or disapproved refunds.

Our return policy lasts 30 days, providing you have notified us with your intent to cancel within the 14 days cancellation notification as per our return policy.

If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

DAMAGED GOODS

A Product delivered as damaged must be reported within 2 working days of delivery. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Please return using a traceable shipping service such as Royal Mail tracked or purchasing shipping insurance.

No Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees, however it is important that you return items in new condition or as close to new condition as possible. Customers are expected to pay for return postage charges except in certain damage cases (see Damages).

Refunds and Store Credits
A refund by check or credit card will be automatically given unless a store credit is specifically requested by the customer. Store credits can be applied to future orders or later requested as a cash refund. Postage fees are non-refundable.

Postage Fee Refunds
Generally Postage fees are non-refundable. However, the Postage fees will be waived or credited if a shipping error is made by ChessMaze UK. In this event, we'll cover the cost to replace the product and return. 
 
Damages
You will not be charged for postage twice if a product arrives damaged and requires replacement. If a product arrives in damaged condition, please contact us immediately by email or telephone asking for the returns department. Please provide as much detail as possible. We will work quickly to replace the damaged merchandise. Save the product and packaging and wait for further instructions. We will usually be sending a replacement right away and the damages will be handled separately. Please don't simply return it - we need to process a claim with the shipping carrier first.

Returning the Product

Please return the goods well packaged using a “signed for” insured Postal service.

You will be required to provide proof of your return and postage cost. A receipt to validate cost will be required. No refund will be given for merchandise damaged due to poor packaging by customer.

Please allow 7-10 days processing time for credit adjustments on modified orders or returns.
